Gates and pedestrian gates

The gate is the only moving part of a fence, and so also the part that is damaged first. The catalogue has pedestrian gates (890–920 mm wide) and double driveway gates (3000–4000 mm wide), in heights that match our panels.

The gates are of the same material and in the same RAL shade as the panel fence, so the set stays consistent. Gates are delivered with hinges and a lock.

Where it is used

Pedestrian gate

A way in on foot, usually 890–920 mm wide.

Driveway gate

A double gate for vehicle access, 3000–4000 mm wide.

How to choose

Height

Choose the gate height to match the panel height, so the line of the fence stays even.

Width

For a driveway gate, allow room to manoeuvre on top of the width of the vehicle. 4000 mm is the usual entrance width.

Posts

A gate post has to be stronger than an ordinary fence post, because it carries the weight of the gate and the load of its movement.

Gate posts are ordered separately and have to be stronger than ordinary fence posts. Give the width and height of the gate in your request and we will offer a suitable set.

Can a gate be automated?

Our gates open by hand. Fitting automation means choosing a suitable drive. Ask us about it in your request.
